The Bay of Quinte at the bottom of the garden of my vacation motel in Trenton, Ontario, Canada.
The sun was very low on the horizon highlighting the tree rather more beautifully than my camera skills could convey.
In the foreground you can see in close-up an upturned plastic coffee cup on a metal spike. I think it was put there by a fisherman just to remind everyone not to fall on the spike.
For purposes of this photo I might have taken it away for a few moments but some kind of small critter had made its home inside. ( waterproof, wind-proof, with great scenic views and safe from many ground-based predators ). One cannot help but wonder if we humans are flattering ourselves when we proclaim we have the power to damage the environment.
